My dog is more than a pet. He is my companion. We sleep together every night. I wake up before him in the AM, so I like to scratch his belly and behind his ears to let him know it’s morning. We usually go back to sleep for at least a few minutes.

He’s dependent on me for food and shelter. I’m dependent on him for love and snuggling. I wouldn’t be able to stay in an empty house if he wasn’t around.

He’s a good hangover companion and he doesn’t beg for food too much. He likes to climb on tables and tries daily to dig through my mattress. He uses my legs as a hammock and never leaves whatever room I may be in.

Look at this picture–I’m smothering him! I just love him so much.

It’s already been six months since I started working full time. Which means in another six months, I can take a vacation. If I had to choose right now, it would be Palm Springs and a summer music festival.
